“One needs diligence to enter the Divine rest of the New Covenant.”
Here are some pointers on the pathway to Rest:
- Hear His Voice
- Don’t harden your hearts (through the deceitfulness of sin)
- Deal with rebellion – know it is as witchcraft; 1 Sam 15:23
- Know His ways
- Turn your heart to God
- Remove unbelief in your heart
- Replace it with faith – it comes by hearing and hearing the preached Word by the Sent ones of God.
- Exhort one another daily.
G3870 Thayer’s Greek Definition includes: “To instruct; teach; call to one side and encourage.” This is also a facet of the prophetic gift. Which is described as “a summons, and a powerful hortatory discourse”.
