On Sunday, 23 April 2017, Apostle Aje Pelser and Pastor Billy Strauss reported to the church that we have already covered more than half of the costs for the land and the building project. An anonymous donor gave his share and challenged others to do theirs. If we all do our share we can see this church built in “no time” as God told Apostle Aje. It will be a blessing to us and the successive generations that will serve God there, as well as the community of over 6000 new households to reach in Burgundy Estate.
Our Finance Orbit explained what we need to cover with additional costs to make the Building ready for God’s people to enter and worship. The first amounts covered the shell, and the contingency amounts will complete the building project, including the paving, sound equipment, live stream equipment, etc.
As we draw close to completion, we are asking each member and friend to buy one of 500 Building Units at R5000 each, so that we can complete the building project in cash.
An online pledge form is available in the side bar. Our bank details are below.
Let’s see how many building units each person can sponsor and let each one do their share to see the edification of this church complete.
Thank you for your continued support.
Below is the presentation from Sunday’s service.
Apostle Aje shared the vision with us.
The Foundation of our Faith
The Builder of the Church is Jesus Christ, who is also the Chief cornerstone, linked to apostles and prophets that accurately interpret the Bible. Living stones linked with love cement complete the structure and the blueprint for His Church is clearly set out in the New Testament. Ephesians 2:20
Functional Places of Gathering
Having laid that foundation, there is a balance between meeting publicly and form house to house in the book of Acts, (Acts 20:20) the early church and we see how Paul also made use of buildings for teaching and training purposes such as in the School of Tyrannus in Ephesus – where he taught for 2 years until all Asia minor heard the word and God confirmed it with unusual signs and wonders, healings, deliverance and the shifting of the principality of pagan god Diana in the region. Acts 19.
Antioch was a sending platform for missions and Apostles and prophets were sent from there and returned with reports of God’s work in and through them. Acts 13 – 14 Act 13:3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.
Act 14:27 Now when they had come and gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.
Act 14:28 So they stayed there a long time with the disciples.
In addition you can have a governmental church like that of Jerusalem where the founding apostles under James made executive decisions that affected the rest of the churches like in Acts 15 when they welcomed the Gentile believers with certain protocols that prevented pagan rites and rituals from continuing in a Christian context.
There was the Philippian Church where Apostle Paul and prophet Silas suffered physically and were thrown into prison. From there much financial support came to Paul to complete his apostolic mission to other churches who could not finance his visits that they so dearly needed to grow in the faith. Apostle Paul sends his apostolic blessing: “My God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:19
Components of Building for God
When the temple was rebuilt in Ezra, there were several components of building process that we can use to finish our project:
Ezr 6:14 So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
There was a command from God
There was a decree from a succession of Kings with letters of authorization There was a prophetic word There were prophets encouraging the completion with prophecy There were elders and sons working together There was persecution There was a will to build and to finish the work
To fulfil the great command to love God and humanity, and the great commission to go to all nations preaching the Gospel and making disciples of all nations. Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20
OUR work has a threefold purpose:
- The Reach all nations for Jesus
- To Build Churches with Bible Colleges
- To be productive creating resources in various media for the next generation.
I believe the productive phase includes property and business as we are seeing this already. We create a platform for a generation to come to finish the work and prepare Jesus’ Bride the Church for His coming.
Cape Town Harvester Reformational Church We had a prophecy that this is a city wide church.
People will come for training from all around the world.
It will be built on a hill overlooking the city.
It will be completed in stages with help from partners in ministry.
We will be debt free.
It will be a template for other churches to build after in this move.
People will be educated in the move of God when they walk into the church.
It will be like a Television Studio where the Gospel will be sent out and broadcast to the world.
A bee-hive of activity.
Yet we will operate in and give people REST.
We will operate in kingdom principles of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said He will show us how He builds a church.
This is it!
Let’s do our share
Eph 4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
