Sermons

Welcome to our sermon archive.  The Word of God is so deep and rich that nobody can ever say "I know it all".  As modern day believers we often discover present day truths in the ancient scriptures.  This archive is a roadmap of what we have discovered so far, and is made available freely.

Each church service is recorded.  If a recording is available for a certain service, a "Play" link will be visible.  Click it to listen to the audio. Your browser might prompt you to install Microsoft's Silverlight plug-in.  Silverlight is a small download and installs within a few minutes.

The inheritance as sons of God.

Heb 1:2-4 This is speaking about Jesus. The writer of this book is talking about the Old Covenant. How did God speak to people in the Old Testament? He appeared to very few people, and in the large majority He used prophets. So there were only a few people hearing God's voice in the Old Testament. The good news of the New Covenant is that every believer can hear God's voice.

It's tiring to hear that there are people who don't hear His voice. There are churches where the people don't believe that the Bible is God's Word to them, and they read every book and watch every TV program and listen to every tape and they still can't get an answer. They can't find direction and guidance from the Scriptures. That is just lazy. They are not in the Word. You can immediately hear when someone speaks whether they are in the Word or not; whether they are speaking their opinions or whether they are speaking God's Word.

God wants His church back. God wants His leaders to hear from Him. He wants them to wait on Him in prayer and fasting, and to go into His Presence and obtain His counsel on everything. If you can't do it, then you need to get into the Bible because it’s there for you. It's your inheritance as a son of God in the New Covenant. It's yours.

You have spiritual ears. Your new creature has new ears, new eyes, new vision and new senses. Don't let traditional people tell you that it's not for today. Don't let people tell you that miracles aren't for today because there are some things that medical science still can't do. There are new diseases every year. They don't know what to do with it anymore. The world's biggest fear is the outbreak of new viruses. If you're not walking in divine health, then you are in trouble and you are going to be scared for the rest of your life.

Insurance is selling you cover for something that hasn't happened. They're using your fear to make money out of you. They are going to come with insurance for all sorts of things in the next few years because people are more fearful than ever before. God does not want us to be subject to bondage through fear of death. You have to ask yourself some questions. Why do you have insurance? Are you doing it out of fear or are you being wise? It's wise to have cover, but check the root. Is it fear? Fear is being scared of something that hasn't happened or might not even happen. It's irrational. It's probably the biggest deception we've had in our modern times is insurance. They've even gone into the laws of certain countries to make sure that you have it; you must have it. Now it's part of our lives and we've never questioned it.

Remember, we are reformers. We live life differently. Have the basic cover and trust God for the other things. Phone your insurance broker and ask them how you can save money. They are supposed to do that for you, that's why you chose them. You'll be surprised, you might save a bit of money every month. Try it. People are so scared to enjoy life. Hey, Jesus came to give us life and life in abundance. Enjoy your life. Don't let the world tell you that life is bad. Life is great! The devil wants to push us into a corner and make us fearful and die. How are you going to enjoy your life if you are constantly scared? The devil is a liar. He came to kill, steal and destroy. He wants to take away all your joy of living. God wants to restore that to you.

The world wants us to feel guilty about everything. The news shows us how people are dying everywhere. Isn't there any other news? Why should we feel guilty because people are dying all over the world? It's not our fault. And they say it on the news as if it's important that you must know how many people are dying everyday and then they also advertise on the street lamps as you drive to work. What you behold you become. The news makes the world depressed. What type of spirit do you think is behind the news? Do you think that it's God's Spirit? Try not to watch the news for 1 week and see if you are a happier person. It's not wrong to be up to date with what's happening in the world and to keep up to date with economic trends. It's good to be wise and to understand your times.

Jesus understood His times. He knew what was happening. He made references to current affairs throughout His parables and sermons. Jesus brought current affairs into His preaching. Don't let the news determine your state of happiness. If you feel responsible for things happening halfway across the world; it is not your measure of faith to deal with those things. God has not called us to be responsible for the whole earth, but for your patch of earth. How are you behaving where you are? Are you doing what you can? That is all you need to worry about. When the world makes you feel guilty quote Rom 8:1 – "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ."  Take away all the guilt. Be a guilt-free Christian; enjoy your food, enjoy your life and be positive about your country. The world needs more people like you. Go out there and multiply! The world needs more people who are happy. Everyone is depressed. The world needs new songs, new plays and new movies!

Why are we supposed to pay to watch a movie about dysfunctional families? Show us families that work! There is a satanic spirit behind the media that you have to see. We need new productions. We need new plays. Go and produce them. Lift the consciousness of society out of the doldrums of depression. Do something with your talents and gift to shine your light. You are a light in this dark world. The world is going to get darker, and it's going to get worse. Jesus prophesied these things so it shouldn't be a surprise – Mt 24. We must be getting our lives right with God and we should enjoy what we can. And at the right time, God is going to destroy this earth and He is going to bring in a new Heaven and Earth where righteousness dwells.

We are pilgrims declaring plainly that we seek a homeland to come. We live in South Africa, and we pray for South Africa, but we are heavenly citizens. It is a Kingdom not made with hands, and we have spiritual principles. The things that are seen are temporal, the things that are unseen are eternal. We are busy with eternal things today, and that makes you live with eternity in you in a limited world. It makes you a different type of person.

You are a son of God that He has revealed to the earth. The earth is groaning. Every time there is an earthquake it is like the earth groans to see true sons of God because of all the sin, murder, and terrible things that people have done. The earth is groaning to see true believers stand up and declare how God wants them to live, so show Christ to the world. The world has had enough of all the sin. There is blood crying out all over Africa. If Abel's blood cried out, think how much blood there is crying out in the world today for justice. When 1 man stands up the earth rejoices to see it. Go and grow your own crops, the earth will rejoice.

The highlights for New Covenant believers are 3-fold in this passage – Heb 1:2-4.

  • A son is an agent of God's communication.
  • The son is a medium of God's creative power.
  • A son is an heir appointed over all things.

The concept of sonship is something into which you grow. You don't just arrive one day and you're a son of God. When you have a baby in a family, it has to grow up into sonship. When we say 'son', we mean the full mature son that is ready to receive his inheritance, that in fact is starting to access his inheritance and walking in it. That is a son. When a son is ready to become a man and take headship of a house that is the maturity we are speaking about. We need to reach that place in the Spirit so that we can access God's inheritance for us.

This is the value of the New Covenant. We could never do that in the Old Testament. The Bible says that the law was a tutor that looked after us until we became sons. You become a son by receiving Jesus Christ into your life. To as many who has received Him, and to as many who has believed in His name, He has given the right to become sons of God. That son is a mature son. It is not just a child. That is what God wants. He wants maturity in believers. That is why He raised up the 5-fold ministries in the last days to bring sons and daughters to maturity so that they can receive God's inheritance for them. So that they can walk in the full knowledge that they are sons of the King. That they can affect their societies whilst there is still time before Jesus comes or before their lives end.

A son of God is described of Adam. God wants to restore the fellowship He had with Adam in the garden. As you mature as a son, you start entering a relationship like God had with Adam and Eve before they fell. God is looking to restore the relationship He had with Adam. God walked with Adam in the cool of the evening. They had access to the garden. Don't you want access to God's fulness? You have it. You need to grow into it. You need to explore that garden a bit. Explore what God has for you. Sonship is used to describe those are born again. It is used to describe people whom God esteems as sons. God esteems you. When you acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Saviour, God esteems you differently. He protects you and gives you benefit above others. In the Old Testament it was used of the Jews, in the New Testament it is used of Christians.

A son is one whose character God, as a loving Father, shapes by chastisement. When you receive correction as a believer, don't receive it as rejection. See it as God shaping your character so that you can access your full inheritance. If He gives you your inheritance and your character is not ready, you won't handle it. It is like when we ask God for things in our lives and we get them then we stop praying because we don't need things anymore. Come on! That is just one level of existence. A son is an agent of God's communication. Jesus is referred to as the Word of God and the Word made flesh. God wants you, as a son and daughter, to become the word made flesh wherever you are.

A son is an agent of God's communication

You are an agent of God's communication just like Jesus was. In times past God spoke to His people through prophets, now He is speaking to people through His Son. And now that Jesus has ascended and is seated at the right hand of the Father, there are many sons and daughters through whom God communicates to the earth. Ever ytime you say something on behalf of God, you are an agent of His communication.

The son is a medium of God's creative power

The son is a medium of God's creative power. When God created the earth, what did He do? He spoke.

Jn 1:1 – the Word was with God, and the Word was God and without the Word, nothing was made that was made.

You now become the expression of God's creativity in everything you do. God has given you creativity that is unique to you and when you are functioning in it fully, you are expressing His creativity.

Heb 11:3 – by faith we understand that worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

As sons of God we can develop and recover the power in our words. Understanding your sonship in the New Covenant you can now say: “ I am going to frame this world I live in with God's Word.” You can speak into situations prophetically, creatively with God's power because you are now a son of God. How did God make the world and the heavens? He spoke. How are you going to change things in your life? You are going to speak. Your thoughts, words and actions must line up.

You have to ask God, “why are there hindrances to the power of Your Word in my life?” And let Him remove it so the when you speak, there is power. It's a wonderful thing. This is your inheritance. We are giving it to you today. You can speak what God says over your life into a situation and break the power of the enemy there. You can use God's Word over and above what people say. Sometimes you must just quote a scripture and leave it because there are not going to listen right now, but you are putting something into effect in their lives. You are putting a creative process into their lives.

Scientists have discovered that the universe I still expanding. God spoke once, and the universe is still creating. There are still births of new stars. It's a amazing to see that one word of “let there be light” is still happening. That is what God's Word is like in your life. That is what the Word of God is like in your mouth when you speak into your school, family or business and you start saying what God says. You don't have to give them a scripture and a verse, just say it. Believe in what you say, and say it clearly and let them hear it, and let God's Word start working. They might not agree with you, they'll mock you and say whatever they want, but that Word has creative power and it doesn't stop creating until it has done what it is supposed to do. Speak it in there. When there is time to pray, pray. You pray, and speak some things. When your family is together and someone asks you to pray, have a good one, especially if they are unsaved. Use opportunities like that. We are sons and daughters of God.

A son is an heir appointed over all things

A son is an heir appointed over all things. Someone who has acquired or obtained the portion allotted to them as you mature, you start acquiring what God has allotted to you. You start walking in your inheritance. If you are sick, you inheritance is healing. If you are mourning, your inheritance is the oil of joy. If you are feeling heavy, your inheritance is a garment of praise. If you are depressed, God wants you to start rejoicing evermore.

This is your inheritance. If you are not sure what to do, your inheritance is direction from the Word. If you fear, God wants you to be delivered from the fear; He wants to give you a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Your inheritance is in the Bible, you should read it. It's like one big will. People get excited when they read a will and testament when they get physical things, but you have things that are going to outlast those physical things in the Bible. His provision is your inheritance too. God has provided for you before you were even born, and He has written it down in a Book. All you need to do now is walk into His provision for you for the next phase. Stop living from month to month. Live in your inheritance. When someone gives you a job opportunity, thank the Lord for your inheritance. When you meet a new person and a deal is made, thank the Lord for your inheritance. When you get opportunities and options, thanks the Lord for your inheritance. Walk in it.

See opportunities as God's provision. Walk in it. Pray about it, and if you are sure that it is God walk in it. It is amazing what God can do if your eyes are open. Let the eyes of your understanding be enlightened to see the riches of your inheritance in the saints. You are the saints. If you've never heard this, you need to realize that God has made you a saint. You are no longer a sinner, you are no longer a child of hell and the devil, you are now a son of God and that has different privileges. That type of being has different privileges. Change the way you think. Don't think like the world, think like God and step into your inheritance.

Motivations for spiritual vision

Motivations for spiritual vision that will help you in every area of your life if you will apply it faithfully.

Gen 13:14-18
What Abram couldn't see, God couldn't give to him.

It will help us to understand that in Gen 12 God spoke to Abram telling him to get out of his country and away from his family. God would show him a land where He would make him a great nation and bless him and make his name great, and bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him, and all the families in the earth shall be blessed because of him. This is a tremendous promise. We call Abraham the father of our faith. We need to understand something about his spiritual vision. We need to understand how we can apply it in our lives.

“Lift up your eyes now” - it means that you must look further than what you can see now. You have to look by faith. The eyes of your understanding need to be enlightened so that you can see further. The world is designed  to entrap your vision into what you can see today, and what you can see and feel around you with your 5 senses. We mostly live according to what we see around us. We mostly live according to our bank balance, and according to what we have. Mostly what we do is we look at what others have, and then we want that; that's as far as we look. Lift your eyes further than that. See further than that. God wants to give you vision concerning your lives.

God gave Abram tremendous promises, and told him to lift his eyes. At that stage Abram was alone. He had no descendants, and then God tells him that all the families in the earth would be blessed because of him. That is a huge promise to someone who has no children.

“...descendants will be as the dust of the earth...” - do you know how long it takes to count just 1 handful of sand? God is saying that we need to expand our vision, and our capacity. How about counting to 1 Million. Just go and sit somewhere and count to 1 Million, and see how long that takes you. And then start believing God for R1 Million. Why must He give you 1 Million if you cannot even count to 1 Million? Most of us don't even know what 1 Billion is. How long will it take you to count to 1 Billion?

Abram to see his sons in every grain of sand. When he laid on his back on a beautiful summer's night, he wanted to see his sons and daughters' faces in the stars. What did he do? He was visualizing God's promise. He was seeing something that God told him to look at.

God wants us to be men and women of vision for as far as you can see, the Lord will give it to you. If you can't see it, He can't give it to you. You want it, but if you can't see it He doesn't know where to fit it in. There is no place to put it. You must make room for it in your thinking. You must first see yourself doing something.

1 Cor 1:26 – you see what God has called you to do.

Eph 1:17-19 – that the eyes of your understanding might be enlightened that you might see or know that hope of His calling.

See yourself doing something before you do it. You have to press in with your imagination. You have to press in with your thinking until it's clear. Do it in prayer and meditation until it's clear to you. Then speak about it, and do something about it. No one loves you that much to make your dream come true. You have to do it. It's not going to happen because you feel sorry for yourself. Mostly when we speak to others we tell them how sorry we feel for ourselves. It's like someone owes us something. Nobody owes us anything! Its your life, and if you want it you must get it.  Go after it. It's not just going to happen because you're moaning about it. You have to get the picture clear.

Mk 11:24 – you must pray about the things you desire. This changes prayer altogether because we think that prayer is a religious duty that we have to perform. And actually, prayer is the birthplace of your visions. Prayer is the place where you put the jig-saw pieces of your life together. God deals with our visions and our dreams. What you see, He will give you. If you can't see it, God can't give it. The more you complain about where you're at, the worse it's going to get. You have to see. 'As far as you can see, I'll do for you.' You have to have it clear in your mind. You need to be specific.

Heb 11:13 – these people died having not received the promise, but they died having seen it afar off. They had no doubt that it would happen. When they were assured of it, they embraced them and confessed them. We only think until the end of the month, or maybe until the end of the year. We should think for generations to come. That is what you and I should be praying about. Think for generations to come. You have to think of your children’s children. If you only think of yourself it's pretty selfish. These people written of in Hebrews saw things afar off that they never had, but they were so convinced of them that they embraced them and they confessed it to their children. We are investing in eternity. For you to come to church is not just because it's Sunday, but you are investing in eternity because time is the coin of heaven. You bought this time to be in church today, but it will bear interest for eternity. You will have eternal rewards for taking an hour or 2 today. Who will give you an investment like that? Not with annual returns but with eternal returns.

God said: 'your family will bless the earth, and through your family all the families of the earth will be blessed...' How can God speak like that to someone who has no children and is 100 years old? That is huge? How does God do that? Gen 18:18

Rom 4:16-23 – God spoke about his family before he could have children. He called it into existence before it was there. Abraham had no hope to have children, but contrary to hope, he believed. Not just the father of a child, but the father of Nations.

The kingdom of God is within. You have to see it first and perceive it before God can even give it to you or do it for you. How we speak about our lives we do the same. God calls those things that don't exist as if they do exist. That is why He could say, “let there be light” before there was anything called light. He knew what He wanted. He could see it. He designed it. He was specific. We are not specific enough when we pray. We just hope that it gets somewhere. If your husband is unsaved, why don't you pray envisioning him in church with you? Why don't you use your sanctified imagination to see the rest of your family serving God with you? You ask and you don't receive. Why don't you receive? Because you ask amiss. Jms 4:3. You ask wrongly. You must ask accurately. 1 Jn 5:15,16 – if we ask according to His will, He hears us. And when we know He hears us, we have the petition or the request we made of Him. We approach the throne of God confidently. Why? Because we know we are asking according to His will. How do we know His will? His Word is His will. It is a written New Testament. If you know His Word, you can ask according to His Word, then you know confidently that you have what you've asked of Him. But there are things that are not written in the Word that you want, well, use the principles that the Word gives you. You have to be accurate, and you have to know what you want. It's like the girl that sat under the tree and prayed: “O Lord, please give me a husband.” There was an owl in the tree that hooted and she thought it was God that asked her, “who”. So she said: “O Lord, anyone will do.” But you don't want to marry anyone. God might just give you anyone and you'll run away. You must know what you want or who you want at least! You can't just marry anything. Pray. If you get a vision from God, be convinced by it, embrace it and confess it. Act on it. Be obedient to the heavenly vision. God will show you anything as far as you can see.

What vision do you have for you children? You must have vision for them. How far do you see them going? Do you just raise your children and leave them or do you have a vision for them? Do you discuss your and their vision and see how they dovetail and how you can help one another? Parents are there to raise children up in the way they should go and when they are older they will not depart from it, but continue in it.

If you want to get married, you need to be able to tell God what kind of husband or wife you want. You need to be sure. It's no use going through life waiting for 'Mr Perfect'. They never come. Sometimes you must take what you can get. It's got to be a step by faith. Spiritually speaking too. You need to see yourself doing something. You need to dream about it. You need to want to do it. This counts for anything in life. God has given you the ability to dream, and to see.

Gen 12:1-4
God told Abram to leave his country. He was obedient to leave, but he took his parents, and his whole family. He took all his problems with him. God told him to leave them. He only obeyed God 50%. He left but he took all of them, so he didn't leave. So he had to wait for his father to die and he could bury him. Then he had to wait until him and Lot had so many problems and fights that Abram asked Lot to separate from him. Now he was beginning to obey God perfectly. Once he could separate from his family, God could show him the land. That took many years for him to obey God perfectly. Many times God gives us a vision, but we don't obey him. We still want to do it our way. Nothing comes through. Why? We still want to do it our way. The devil comes with many other options. He comes with other suggestions. He is constantly trying to sidetrack you from the blessings God has got already stored up for you. Abram had to work through that just like we have to work through all the stumbling blocks and stepping stones we have. Do you know that there are certain things that God has spoken to you about but yet you don't change. Why not? Well, you are keeping back the promises. God is ready. God is always ready. The Spirit is always willing, but it is our flesh that is weak.

What you envision. “...as far as your eye can see, I give to you, but you must do according to My word...” You can't want all God's blessings and do what you like. You have to obey Him then it will come to pass. How far can you see? How far do you look? Well, you have to lift up your eyes.

Jn 4:35,36
Jesus understood that principle. Look further than what you see. Lift up your eyes. Lift up your vision. The Holy Spirit is given to lead and guide us in all the truth and to show us things to come. Most people, He's already shown things to come but we don't want to believe that because we look only in front of us. We have to lift up our eyes to see the vision God has for us. We have to lift up our eyes to break out from the moulds we grew up in. You have to lift up your eyes to break the habits that are holding you back. All those things that the devil is keeping you in bondage with is just spoiling your purpose in God. Everything the devil brings to make you feel insecure is so that you cannot fulfil your purpose. You could have been a preacher long ago by now. You could have been a millionaire long ago. You could have flourished in the earth, but you wanted to do your own stubborn thing. We have to lift up our eyes. See the harvest already ripe. See it. Number the stars. Count the grains of sand. Find a way to express your vision. We are not just existing, we are people with vision. You need a vision for you family. You need a vision for your business. You need a vision for you sport. You need a vision for the people you are trying to influence or relating to. If you are a household or homecell leader, you need a vision for that homecell. You need to believe God for something. But you have to lift up your eyes. If you are a giver unto the kingdom of God, you have to lift your vision higher and believe God that you will give much more this year than last year, because it means God blesses you more than last year. If you want to give exactly the same, you are going to earn exactly the same. You have to lift your vision continually. God gets the job done in His way. Many times it's not the way we would have chosen. The harvest is already there. It's already white to harvest.

Get the message. Paul prays in his prayer Eph 1:17-19 that the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened that you might know the hope of His calling, the riches of God in the saints, that you might know the power that raised Jesus from the dead that works mightily within us who believe. It is during prayer that you lift up your eyes. When you realize that prayer is your vision builder, you'll pray more. The Word of God stimulates you to prayer. If you only have 8 clients in your business, why don't you sit still and count to 20 by faith? Why don't you count to 100 by faith? If you only get R3000 a month, why don't you count to 10 while you are praying? God told Abram to count the stars. That is one way of incubating what you are believing God for. Imagine. What will you do with 20 clients? Start acting as though you have 20 clients. What would you be like if you were married? Would you be different? What will you be like if you have children? Why don't you help someone else with children in the meantime and get used to the idea of what children are like. They are not like you think they are like. Your children are not going to be perfect. If you want a car, make sure you have a license to drive it. If you can't have children, buy a cot. Lift your vision. See it afar off. See beyond your condition.

Abram was not weak in faith. How did he prove he was strong? He did not consider his circumstances. He did not consider that his body was too old to produce a child nor his wife's womb that was barren. He did not consider that. But in hope he believed the promise of God. He believed the promise more than what he could see, feel and experience. Why? He lifted his vision. And he learned from God to call the things that do not exist as if they exist already. So from that moment onwards, he spoke of himself as the father of many nations. And God changed his name to Abraham, and her name from Sarai to Sarah meaning mother of all, and father of many nations. Now, whenever they mentioned one another's names or when the servants responded to them they called them “father of many nations, mother of all”. They were repeating the vision. Before he goes to bed at night, he counts the stars and sees the faces of his children there. When he walks in the dessert, he picks up the sand and lets it filter through his fingers and realize it's his children. You have to have something to trigger your faith and your imagination. We live just as far as we can see, which is tomorrow, end of the week, end of the month. We need to learn to lift our vision higher. See our family worshipping God with us. Imagine what that would be like. Treat them as if they are already serving God with you instead of condemning them. Treat them as if it is done. Welcome it, embrace it and confess it.

What do you see for this year? If you don't know, then that is what it's going to be like. You have to set some goals, some targets. You have to aim at something. Sin means that you miss the mark. The devil will bring sin into our lives so that we miss our mark. We miss what we were born and created for. God has designed you for something which only you can do. And all the attacks of the enemy are to stop you from accomplishing your divine purpose. The devil has strategies that work for you. Today there is good news for you. The Lord has overcome the devil! Fear not, for He has overcome the world. Fear not, He is victorious. Today, He gives you Life, and He gives you the power of His Spirit, and He gives you His Word to help you to overcome and triumph in all your situations so that you can fulfil your life's purpose. Be fulfilled as a person. Live a satisfied life within knowing that your life was well worth it in spite of the mistakes you've made. Your weakness is an opportunity for God to reveal His strength. If you can do it all you don't need God. When you spot a weakness, ask God to help you and He will minister His strength to help you overcome things. He wants you to be dependent on Him more and more. Why? Then He can do more through you.

Eph 6:10-20

It's His power that we need be strong in, not just our own strength.

Power: The dynamo. The generator.

Might: forcefulness or ability of God.

Become strengthened in the Lord, and in the dynamo that produces His forcefulness or His ability.

Wiles of the devil: the mind-games; the schemes; the cunning craftiness of the devil.

Wrestle: a contest between 2 who endeavour to throw each other. The loser gets his eyes gorged out resulting in permanent blindness. We wrestle against the champions of spiritual forces of wickedness; hurtfulness. We need to be fully armed to stand against their tricks and their cunning craftiness.

Stand: to be appointed in a certain place; to be established; to be settled; steadfast; to stand still. Your character will be recognized that you stand firm for what you believe.

Age: each age has its own hosts of wickedness.

It is the same armour that Jesus wore.

The breastplate will protect your emotions; will guard your affections; will purify your motives; purify your heart; it will help you to have self control. Out of the treasure of the heart, the mouth speaks. What comes out of you and I when we are under pressure? What comes out of an orange when you squeeze it? Orange juice that's good for people. So when circumstances squeeze us, what comes out of us should be good for others.

It should be Christ within the hope of glory. The breastplate guards your heart so that you can have pure motives in everything. God purifies us and it's a process. It's not a magic wand. He is busy in everyone's lives, but we need to cooperate with Him. We need to want it. He won't force us. Jesus could sit and talk with sinners, but He didn't sin with them because His heart was pure.

1 Thess 5:8 – without love, nothing will work. You can have all the knowledge, all the faith, you can do anything you want to, but if there is no love it means absolutely nothing. Without love, everything is too harsh. Even if you speak the truth to someone and there is no love in what you are saying, it's too harsh. It destroys. You can say the right thing, but if you say it in the wrong way, it destroys. Love is the key factor because God is love.

The girdle of truth holds all the different pieces of armour together.

You hang your sword on it. It holds the breastplate together. It protects. If you worship in Spirit and truth it keeps the girdle in place, and it helps to keep things together in your life. Worshipping in Spirit and in truth is a great secret to flow in the Spirit.

Jn 17:17 – God's Word is truth.

Jn 8:32 – Evolution is a lie, and what it did was, it broke down morality in the world giving people the right to act like animals. God's truth builds up, it doesn't break down. God wants us to walk in the light as He is in the light because it will set us free. If you know the truth about something, it sets you free. If you know that too much sugar is bad for you, it sets you free. Sometimes we battle too much with ignorance instead of finding out the truth. It will set you free.

The helmet of salvation. Keep it on. Stay saved. Why do you want to backslide? Keep the helmet on. Don't take it off. Maybe you need to put it on again. A healthy brain. The mind of Christ. Who wouldn't like to have a healthy brain? Let the Word saturate your mind. Let the Word take over the operation of your brain cells until you begin to think like the mind of Christ. Also, take heed how you hear things. How you hear things is how you will operate.

1 Thess 5:8 – the hope of salvation. It gives you hope, and it will make your mind sober. The God of hope will sanctify you, and give you a sober mind. The truth will work more effectively in you. The helmet of salvation protects your mind and your thoughts.

Your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

Horses should be shod every 2 weeks. Some people never have their horses shod. They do their horse disfavour because if some of the hooves wear off quicker than the others, it puts strain on its limbs and joints and they start developing limps. They become very unhealthy if they don't have proper shoeing. A horse can't shoe itself. You can't shoe yourself either. You can't shoe yourself with the preparation of the gospel of piece. Someone must teach you. You need a mentor because you will do what you've been taught. When you are under pressure, you will do what you've been taught. You cannot prepare yourself to preach the gospel, someone has to prepare you. That is where humility and meekness come in.

Everything that you know, you've been taught. Acknowledge the people that have taught you the Way. It reminds you that you know nothing. Recognize who teaches you what. You are the sum total of what you have been taught. Thirst for knowledge otherwise you stay on the same level. You need someone to teach you how to operate and what to do. You need to be able to give an account of what you believe. You need to be able to tell others about your healing, salvation and deliverance.

Jesus said to 12 people: “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men”. You are all fishers of men. You are all people who can take the reformation into your area of influence. Wherever you are, you become the messengers. But you also need to bring the people into the kingdom. Some people fish but never catch anything. God wants to teach you how to bring people into the kingdom, how to build them into the church, how to make disciples and not just to talk to people. Preach the Word in and out of season.

The shield of faith. Above all the other parts of your spiritual weaponry, but also above all that the devil can do, use your shield of faith because it will quench the fiery darts of the wicked. What people speak against you, do against you, and circumstances, the fiery darts that want to injure you will be quenched by the shield of faith. In those days, the Romans had big leather shields with different layers of leather that were soaked in water. When they went into battle, and were shot at with fiery arrows, the arrows would penetrate but because of the moisture in the shield they were quenched.

That is what Paul was referring to as the shield of faith. In our minds, we talk about a force field. Just like an infrared ray that automatically opens sliding doors, so in the spiritual realm, the shield of faith will protect you. No one can really see it. It's a shield of protection, a shield of faith. God shields you if you believe.

Ps 91:4 – ... His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Nothing will separate you from the love of God. The truth will shield you from all doubt, fear, accidents, sickness, problems, emotional and mental distresses. God will protect you from poisoning.

Gen 15:1 – “... I am your shield, and exceeding great reward.” That's a big one! The God that created heaven and earth is your shield.

The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God.

We must learn to use it, study it; hide it in your heart. You overcome by the blood of the Lamb, the word of your testimony and not loving your life unto death. The word of the New Covenant: let it be in your heart and mind. Learn to use it with your mouth. It's a sharp instrument. It's a 2 edged sword that divides between soul, spirit, and body. It tells you what's going on. “I'll put my Spirit in you.” It's a powerful Spirit. A Spirit of truth. God wants you to use the sword of the Spirit because He has given you dominion. He gave us dominion over out circumstances, situations. But where people abuse it, they think they have dominion over other people. That it why there are so many wars in the earth. That is also why people kill each other, and why there are so much disharmony in families. People control and manipulate each other because they think they have dominion over people. God has not given you dominion over people. He has given you dominion over circumstances. He's has given you authority over evil spirits. God wants us to have dominion in the earth, that when you plant things they will grow, and when you do things it will be successful. Don't abuse people. Don't try to control and manipulate everyone. That is where dominion has gone wrong. God didn't give us that kind of dominion. It is when sin came in that that dominion came over the world. It's evil. God wants you to have dominion in your own life. We learn how to apply these things. We learn how to use the sword of the Spirit. If you answer someone with a Scripture, it is more powerful than your own opinion. Use the Word of God like a sword at school, at work, at play. The Word of God is very powerful. When Jesus was tempted, what did He use to overcome the temptation? He used only the Word. When He spoke, He said: “... it is written...”. We don't use what we have. We don't use the Word that has been given to use. Say something with your mouth that agrees with what you believe.

All these pieces of armour have been given so that we can pray and never stop praying. And make supplication even for other saints. Also make supplication for apostles that they may have utterance wherever they go. Pray that they will say the right things they ought to say, because sometimes they have to say things that people don't want to hear, and they are intimidated by the people's reactions. Those people have been taught a different truth, not the biblical Truth that we are used to hearing and walking in. They are taught this different truth in church, like a doctrine of a church, or a tradition of a church, instead of the Truth that can set them free. People don't want to hear it at first. In church one must preach the whole Truth whether it suits you or not. There are false doctrines that control people, blind people and deceive them everywhere.  But when God takes off the scales from our eyes, we can see simple Truth. It's is written. Sometimes the apostles try to show people the Scriptures, and they don't want to look because they will have to change their minds. Deception is strong. That is why you need to pray for apostles when they go to minister, because they encounter all those forces besides the demonic forces, the principalities and powers over areas.

In order to pray like that, you need the whole armour of God which you already have. You are not going to put it on and take it off. It is already in place, but you are ignorant about it, or you have forgotten that it is there. Today God wants to reactivate that so that we may live this Christian life effectively. God wants to give us understanding on another level: the dawn of a new are of understanding is upon us so that the church can gravitate into another level of perception, operation, and effectiveness in the earth.

Philippians Summary

Prophet Nola Pelser

It's wonderful to be part of what God is doing. You are it. You are the vessels. There is no one besides you. God is not going to use angels – they have their job. You've got a job to do. You are being who God has made you to be, and just be that.

Read the book of Philippians.

Here follows a summary of the book:
  • While living in this body, this will mean fruitful labour for you.
  • Continue for the progress of others.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the Lord.
  • Not only believe, but also suffer for Him.
  • Be like-minded in spirit and purpose.
  • Do nothing out of selfish ambition, or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than you.
  • Looking not only to your own interest, but to the interest of others.
  • Have the same attitude as Christ. Paul is encouraging us. Jesus made Himself nothing, taking the nature of a servant, and humbled Himself, and became obedient to death.
  • Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.
  • Do everything without complaining and murmuring.
  • Become blameless and pure children of God.
  • Hold out the Word of Life.
  • Worship by the Spirit of God.
  • Glory in Christ Jesus.
  • Put no confidence in the flesh.
  • Consider everything lost for the sake of Christ Jesus. Have you ever written down what you've counted as lost? Paul was an example in that he was a Pharisee, and knowing the law, he had the highest education with much knowledge in the scriptures in Judaism. He said: “I count it all lost.” Then he changed from being such a scholar in his nation, to become nothing. That's why he knows what he's talking about. He said: “I count it all lost, compared to the greatness of knowing Christ Jesus”. How full are we of Christ? How much is Christ Jesus before us? Sometimes we have ourselves before us, and no wonder there are no results, no fruits, and no power. “... consider everything lost compared to the greatness of knowing Christ Jesus for whose sake I have lost all things.”
  • Know Christ, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings. Becoming like Him in His death and to attain from the resurrection from the dead. It's in our hearts what we believe. If Christ didn't die and wasn't resurrected and if He is not alive, we all would've been useless. Christ is real. Jesus is alive and He has died to set people free, and we need to preach the message of the Kingdom. Preach Christ and Him as crucified because He has the power to change.
  • Press on to take hold of what Christ has taken hold of for you. Christ has taken hold of certain things for you. Are you taking hold of it? Jesus has prepared something for you; He has given it to you. He's given you liberty; He's given you freedom, peace, joy, deliverance and power to overcome sin. There are teachings that demons teach in the earth, and many Christians are under that power. By the Spirit of the Lord, you can discern and know what the truth is; and then preach and live that.
  • Forget what is behind and stretch yourself, straining toward what is ahead. Press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called you heavenward in Christ Jesus.
  • Keep your eyes on heaven.
  • Keep your mind on heavenly things for your citizenship is in heaven.
  • Stand firm in the Lord.
  • Do not be anxious about anything, but everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God. When you start to worry, pray. Instead of worrying, pray. The peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. There's a guarding that takes place when you've given yourself to God like this. There's a power of guarding that guards your mind. We are living in an age where people are becoming so fearful. The young people are getting heart attacks. Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy, think about such things.
  • Practice what you've learnt, and the God of peace will be with you.
May you be encouraged by this, and may your living Christ affect other people. It's the Life of Christ. It's not with hypocrisy, but with sincerity.
God's faithfulness.

Apostle Andre Pelser

1 Thess 5:23,24

It sounds impossible to be sanctified completely and your whole spirit, soul and body presented blameless. Who could attain to that? And yet the next verse says: “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it”. God's going to find a way to do it in all our lives, whether you like it or not. You belong to Him. He's bought you with a price. You are redeemed. You belong to Him and He will complete the good work He's begun in you. He's got ways and means to do it in all our lives.

Be reminded, today, of His faithfulness.

Lam 3:22,23 – His mercies are new every morning like the dew, but great is His faithfulness.

God's faithfulness induces us to develop trust in Him in various areas of our lives. If you have understanding concerning faithfulness, you can be established in it.

Faithfulness: firmness, stability, fidelity, to continue and continue forever. No shake ability, firm, something you can depend upon, stable, truthful. A faithful believer is someone who is firm in their faith, stable in his faith, and he builds and helps to support other believers. He is dependable. A faithful husband and a faithful wife support the other, build them up, stabilizes the other when the other tend to falter. A faithful friend is someone that can stabilize you when you are going through a bit of a wobble.

God has been tested as silver, as sterling, through the fire. Many people have found Him faithful; you are not going to be the first one to discover that. He is faithful and He is true. Many others have trusted Him, relied upon Him, and put their faith in His promises, and they've come through this life, and they are the witnesses that He is faithful and true.

Areas of God's faithfulness: Gal 6:8 – there will always be seed time and harvest. Always. It is a law. If you sow, you reap. If a farmer doesn't sow, and he wonders why there is no harvest would you think he is foolish? If you don't sow in the work of God in tithes and offerings, and God doesn't bless you abundantly why are you surprised? If you sow you reap. It's very simple. If you show kindness, you receive kindness – maybe not from the same person, but anything that you would like to reap in life you must sow. God so loved the world. He sowed love as a seed. His Word is a Seed. If you give God's Word to someone, you don't know how it's going to come back in a harvest. If you sow after the flesh, you reap after the flesh. If you sow after the Spirit, you reap after the Spirit. God's is faithful concerning seed time and harvest. It's a rhythm that we are trying to get into. Every time you harvest, you must keep your seed. Don't eat your seed. If you use your seed, you have nothing to sow again, and that's an evil cycle to get into. Always sow your seed. Give your tithe to the Lord. If you don't, you'll run into trouble sooner or later because you have nothing to sow.

God is faithful to deliver us: 1 Cor 10:13 – He will not allow us to be tempted above what we are able, but with the temptation He will make a way of escape. So when temptation comes, what must we look for? A way of escape. It's designed in the temptation. God knows our capacity, so when God increases our capacity, the temptation will be on a different level too. But with that temptation He's already designed a way for our escape. We cannot help it. It's part of life.

Temptations, trials, tests, tribulations, troubles are all part of life. You must be able to recognize them and know how to approach each of them. They are all different. Most people just think that everything is going wrong. It's not. You need to discern what it is that you are going through. Is this a test of my faith? Faith is not faith until it's tested. If you hear the Word of God on healing, how will you be tested? When your body tries to get sick. If you hear the Word of God on prosperity, what's going to happen? You'll say that you have nothing. All of a sudden your faith is being tested.

A trial of your faith is just a longer test. Job went through a trial for 9 months they say. It was a big trial of his faith. A trial is just an extended test. Why did you write tests at school? To test what you know. If you don't write tests, you don't know what you know. How do you get to know God? You must be tested in every area. If we think that every test is that God has forsaken us we will never grow. If you think that the teacher at school hates you because he gives you tests you don't understand school. God doesn't test you because He hates you. He wants you to find out how much you know already. People perish without knowledge. If you don't have knowledge you cannot continue. God wants you to be established in things so He tests you until you pass the test. Some of us write the same test over and over again for a lifetime because we don't want to learn. So He tests you again.

A trial is an extended test. If you think a trial is a test, you'll be frustrated. You've got to recognize that it's a trial and then lock into it for as long as it takes and you keep your peace. You learn endurance. You go through hardship with endurance. You become stronger, and you can handle things. A trial of your faith is different, and you've got to handle and approach it differently. It's not going to end tomorrow. You'd like it to end, but God says: “no”. What are you going to do? Paul said that he pleaded with the Lord 3 times to remove the thorns from his flesh, but all God said was: “My grace is sufficient for you”. 2 Cor 12:8,9

Have you had things that you continually prayed for, and you think that God's not hearing? Well, He is saying no. No is also an answer to prayer. We think answers to prayer must always be yes. Sometimes God has got the right to say no.

And temptation? Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were never tempted? We could just sail through this life, with nothing ever tempting you. Who designs your temptations? This is a difficult one. God Himself doesn't tempt you, but He will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able. So who knows your ability? God. Who gives you that ability? God. Who matches the temptation with that? God. But He is teaching you how to take the way out. He creates the way. With the temptation comes the way out of it. Who led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil for forty days? The Holy Spirit. Mt 4. But, when He overcame the temptation He left the wilderness in the power of the Spirit. Every time you overcome something, you get stronger in the Spirit. But God is faithful. He will not allow you to face what you don't have the ability to face. If the temptation comes, what must you know immediately? You have the capacity to handle this, because He wouldn't match me with something I don't have the capacity for. That's why we don't quite understand the level of temptation Jesus had. How many of you have recently been tempted to turn stones into bread? It's a bit above your capacity right? Remember that Jesus was human. He didn't just sail through the temptation. We always think that it was easier for Him. He was just like you and I. When He looks at the stones, and the devil tells Him to turn them into bread, you can see His mind. All sorts of thoughts went through His mind. But, He used the scripture “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” - Mt4:4 – and the temptation vanished. It's like the bubble burst. He remained faithful in the temptation because He used the sword of the Spirit. We tend to want to do it in our own strength and then we fail.

God is faithful to deliver us if we rely upon Him. He is faithful to forgive us our sins if we confess our sins – 1 Jn 1:9. He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us. There is not one of us that can say we've never sinned. There is no such thing. You see, we tend to rate sins. We think certain sins are worse than others. It's all sin. The sin of omission is just as great as the sin of commission. There are certain things that you know you should do and you don't. That is also sin, if you omit to do it. There is no room for anyone to boast and say they've never sinned. But He forgives. If you ask Him to forgive you, He forgives you. He really does. He cleanses your conscience. No other religion can do that. Only Christ can, only His blood can.

He is faithful to keep His word. He will fulfil His word. He keeps His promises to you, but He also keeps His threats. That makes you fear Him. If He's said that He's going to do it, He is going to do it. We need to know what He says, and that He's faithful to keep His word, and keep His promises.

He is faithful to help us during persecution. Fear not, God is with you – Isa 41 & 43. If you go through the waters, persecution, difficult times, He is faithful during those times.

Jer 32 – He is faithful to strengthen you when you need strength.

Heb 2:17 – He is a faithful High Priest in all the things concerning us because He was a man, and He knows what it's like. He sat where you sat, and He feels what you feel. He knows what you are going through at school, at work, at play, at the family, in church, in life. He knows what you are going through. He understands. That is why He can intercede for you. He is a faithful High Priest, and He fulfils all His duties faithfully.

There are definite rewards when you and I become faithful.

To the faithful, He will show Himself faithful – 2 Sam 22:26.

The Lord preserves the faithful – Ps 31:23.

He'll never forsake His faithful ones – Ps 37:28.

He will guard the lives of the faithful – Ps 97:10.

He will protect their way – Prov 2:8.

A faithful man will have riches, and will be blessed of the Lord – Prov 28:20.

A faithful ambassador brings healing.

A faithful man shall abound in blessings.

What He wants from us is to be faithful in serving – Ezek 48.

Faithful in prayer – Rom 12:12.

Faithful in consecration – 2 Chron 31:18.

Be a faithful minister – Col 4:7.

God will appoint faithful people – 1 Tim 1:12.

He is looking for those who will remain faithful even to the point of death – Rev 2:10.

The Rider on the white horse has a name called Faithful and True – Rev 19:11.

One thing that we have got to learn too, after we have gotten what we wanted from God, is to remain faithful. Many people, once they are blessed, rich or have everything they want, backslide. Israel – every time they were delivered or when things go well, they forget God. Learn to be faithful even after God has blessed us.

Remain faithful when you teach others, and they reject what you teach them. That's a hard one. You go somewhere, you give them God's word, and they reject it. Do you know what you feel like? But that is when you have to remain faithful, still full of faith. You and I cannot determine their reaction. That is where you have to learn faithfulness.

Faithfulness will bring results in your life, in your prayer, in your bible study, in your giving, in your relationships.

You become more faithful by constantly considering Jesus – Heb 2 & 3.

Faithfulness breeds confidence. It helps you to overcome doubt, unbelief, and distrust.

The ultimate reward for faithfulness is crown of life – Js 1:12.

God will uproot the unfaithful – Prov 2:22.

Unfaithfulness leads to backsliding and perversity.

Faithful people bring strength like a pillar to the church. They bring stability.

God wants us to be as faithful as Him. His name is faithful – He can't deny Himself. Even if you and I are unfaithful, He remains faithful. It's His character, it's His nature.

Remain faithful to read your Bible. Would you like to read 1 book for the next 35 years? When you've read the same book many times over, that you even know what's on the next page, your brain says: “what for”. People dig up more gold and platinum at the same mines with the same equipment, and it becomes more valuable. It's the same with the word of God, it becomes more valuable. Ps 19 – the word of God is like much fine gold. It's your attitude.

Remain faithful in prayer. Or do you just pray in a crisis? If you've been praying regularly, when the crisis comes it's just another step isn't it?

Remain faithful to seek God. If you make seeking God the most important thing in your life, everything else falls into place. But we seek other things. Mt 6 – seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all the other things will be added. But we seek the things. And He says that He will add them. He will just bring them your way. But we don't want to believe that. It's very hard for the flesh to believe that.

Remain faithful to pray in tongues. What a wonderful gift God has given us, the gift of the Holy Spirit and praying in tongues. We should pray in tongues everyday. Paul says that he prays in tongues more than all of us. Why? Well, he's faced a few things: shipwrecks, stoning, beatings, prisons, persecutions. When you pray in tongues, your mind becomes unfruitful. When you've wracked your brain and you don't know what to think or what to make of things anymore, that's when you must switch gears and pray in tongues. Now, you're tapping into God's resources. It's the mind of Christ that you're looking for. You want to go into another state of being, of understanding. We often forget to pray in tongues. Pray in tongues before you read the word. Just for a few minutes and see how the word opens up differently. The Holy Spirit opens up the word.

Pray in tongues when you have to make a business decision. Your spirit is the candle of the Lord, so when you pray in tongues God lights up your candle so you can see what's going on inside of you. And He can give you different information than what you had a few seconds before.

The more you pray in tongues, the more clear things will be. Pray in tongues. Why? Because you take your mind off the situation, problems, and your set of knowledge, and you're neutral waiting for God to impart a fresh bit of knowledge, a fresh revelation, new insight, and new direction. The more you pray in tongues, the more possibilities there are for you to do things God's way.

If all of us pray in tongues before we come to church, it will lift the whole meeting. We are more spiritually attuned, instead of just making it to church.

Think about God's faithfulness and say: “God, I want to be like you. I want to be a faithful man/woman. Please show me the areas where there is unfaithfulness in me, and deal with it.” He will show you. And the wonder is that He doesn't reject you while He is completing the good work. That's the gift of righteousness that while you are being completed, while you are being perfected, He doesn't kick you out of the nest. He completes it, knowing there are still things that have to change, but He loves you through the process. Religion doesn't. Religion makes you feel that you are not part of the kingdom while you have to change – you are in and out, in and out, whereas with God, you are in Christ. You are hidden with God in Christ.

If you become faithful to pray in tongues, you'll draw tremendous blessings. He'll give you business ideas. He'll tell you what to do. He'll give you solutions to problems. If you're an engineer, He'll give you designs you've never dreamt of. If you're a businessman, He'll give you business opportunities. Pray in tongues regarding your children, He will give you the right way to handle them. Pray in tongues in any relationships that are not working whether at school or at work or at play or wherever you are. If you pray in tongues, He'll just drop things in your spirit. Why? Because you've removed your mind from trying to solve it. Do everything you can but, when you get to the point when you can't do anything else, pray in tongues until something is revealed or crystallized within you.

Be faithful in your giving – your tithes and offerings. Faithfulness there has tremendous rewards, eternal rewards. The word says: “I've never seen a righteous man's children beg bread” - Ps 37:25. God will take care of them, and it doesn't mean that you never did anything wrong. It means that you've discovered righteousness by faith in Christ Jesus. Because of what He did, and you thank Him for it, He blesses your children. It's not even what you did that brings blessing on your children and your children's children. It's what Christ did, but because you link into it by faith, you and your children draw the benefits. If we understood what Christianity is, we'd pay for it. Really, we wouldn't give tithes, we'd give a salary. There are so many benefits involved!

Faithfulness makes you confident. If you play a sport and you faithfully practice and you work hard, you are confident when you go on the field because you've worked at it. Anything that you are faithful at breeds confidence. It helps you to overcome doubt. If you are faithful at work, they give you a bonus. There are tremendous blessings for being faithful. God builds a church with faithful people. A faithful man's house will abound with blessings. It doesn't say you must work harder, it says to just be faithful. God let your place abound with riches. All of us want that. What's the requirement? Be faithful. Is that difficult? No, it puts us all on the same scale. Just faithfully going to church is a big deal already.

The moon in the sky is a faithful witness that there is a sun. The moon has no light within itself, so when it shines it reflects the sun. It is a faithful witness that there is a sun. So we too, must be faithful in witnessing to people. We point to the Son. He is faithful and He is true.

We need to look at this, and maybe even go and study it a bit at home. Say: “Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness, great is Your faithfulness. Forgive me for where I have been unfaithful in any area. Please grace me with Your faithfulness beginning to shine through in my life in these areas.”. This is what church is. As we meditate on the word of God, He shows us what areas He still has to work on, because He wants to complete the good work that He's begun. It's not just to condemn us, and make us feel guilty all the time, it's so that He can change us. There are certain things in your life that you cannot change. You were born with it. It comes from generations. It's increased in your situations. Some of the bad qualities of your forefathers have come through in you and it's a nightmare, and you can't change it. You have to live with it. No. He can change it, but He first wants you to spot it. That's why He sometimes allows it to surface, so that you can spot it. When you tell Him that you don't want it, He deals with it. You've given Him permission. God's not a bully that changes you without His permission – Philemon 14. You cooperate with Him, and so He will perfect that which concerns you.

He will sanctify you completely; make you whole spirit, soul and body by the time Jesus returns. He who calls you to this is faithful, He will also do it. What a wonderful promise of a faithful God that will complete what He has started in each of us.

It's easy for us to look at each other and see where each of us needs change. Remember, we are walking in a bright light so it's easy to spot the mistakes. If we're in darkness, nobody knows what's going on. But because the light is bright, it's easy to see what is still wrong in each other. It's not difficult. It takes grace to say: “I know God can change so and so, or God's busy changing so and so”. The problem is that we cannot see ourselves. We only know of the areas in which we've been changed, and then we judge others from there. We don't know what they've come through. We don't know what generations have gone through for that person to get there. We don't know what other people are facing. We don't know how close some people are to insanity. We don't know how close they are to an emotional breakdown. We don't know. So it's easy to judge, but it's hard to understand. Rather pray for you brother or sister. Pray for those who spitefully use you. Bless those who curse you. It's not easy, but that's what He requires of you. He's come to give us a different life to what the world is living. But that life, He says, blessings will abound. Riches will abound. And the blessings of God makes rich and adds no sorrow to it. Don't just chase after riches, pursue God. Pursue love. Pursue the things of God. Run away from the other things that drag you down, and war against your soul.

God is busy creating a band of faithful followers. Why? So that He can accomplish His purpose in the world through us. What a privilege. And each one of us just doing our share faithfully, then His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Secrets of God

Apostle Andre

God's Word is full of secrets, but He reveals it to us

“Eye has not seen and the ear has not heard what the father has prepared for those that love him, but by His Spirit he reveals it.” If something has been revealed to you nobody can take it from you, it is yours.

Deuteronomy 29:29

There are certain things that God keeps to himself. He doesn't share with us. People can struggle all they want to, to know, but they will never know it.

But what He has revealed He has given to us. So we, as spirit fulfilled believers, live by revelation knowledge; knowledge that has been revealed to us.

If you have a revelation about your wife or husband, then you look at them differently. You look at them with other eyes. It is true. You will look differently if you have a revelation about your children, about the church, or what you supposed to be doing in life.

Revelation is the thing that no one can take from you and motivates you without effort.

Paul said that things have been revealed to him.

God reveals it and once you see it clearly you can do it.

He said: “you see your calling brethren …” If you never seen yourself doing something it is very difficult to do it. If I say to you, play the piano, you would say no. Why? Because you have never seen yourself doing it; it is very difficult. Hilton was 6yrs old and he said, “I want to play the violin.” None of us can play the violin. Where does that come from? My great grandfather played the violin so it was in his genes, but he saw Emma play the violin in Church, and he has played ever since. He saw himself doing it. You must see yourself doing it.

Before one cricket season Aje had been very sick, when the term started. At the 1st cricket game they picked him for the side and he said he did not practice. I told him to go lie on his bed. He thought I would throw the ball for him. I said, “close your eyes, relax and bat. I will come back just now.” After a while I went back. I asked him how many did he score? He said, 40 runs. I said, okay,  go play. The next day he scored 40 or 42! Without practice. You must see yourself doing something. Who gives it to you? It is God, in any area of your life.

People who rob a bank first see themselves doing it a thousand times.

You don't rob a bank by accident, it is very carefully planned. It’s a long process. It is very carefully planned and then they rehearse it. Sin is the same, You see yourself sin before you sin.

People see themselves smoking before they start smoking. It looks so manly to smoke, but they don't know that people die of lung cancer. The guy who advertised camel died of lung cancer, it is a fact.

You need to see yourself doing the good things too. It’s what you see on the inside. What the word of God does is that it changes the picture. It changes the picture of how you see yourself and how you view other people. Till you get a revelation of who you are in Christ. Then suddenly things are different. You die to the old image. God produces a new one. Only his Word can do that.

You can't  do it by motivation, because you are not the creator. God has got to do it by His Word and His Spirit.

You must first see yourself rich before you become rich. If not, and you win the lotto, you will loose it. People loose millions. They don't know what happened to it. Why?  They never saw themselves rich so they didn't have capacity to use it. They just had the capacity to loose it.

Let God change the inner picture. He reveals things to you. You must first see yourself married before you can get married. That’s how it works.

One day we did Cinderella in church. Billy was the ugly sister and Leigh was the mother. Yvette told the story. Theresa wanted to be Cinderella and so the ugly sisters treated her badly. Then someone said, “I’ll be the prince,” and Derek got up and said, “no, you are not the prince, I’ll be the prince. That is my girl there.” He saw it very clearly. He made up his mind publicly and he came and was the prince and tried on the shoes.

Then I said that Jesus is the prince and he has got a shoe that just fits for you, and 24 people got saved that morning.

Suru, the mime artist, did the archer that shoots the eagle and kills it. He picks it up and walks off with it. Then the eagle starts flapping again and flies off.  Then he bowed down acknowledging the superiority of the eagle, and we gave an alter call after that and many people got saved.

None of us said anything, I didn't even explain about the cross or Jesus or hell. I just said who wants to give their lives to Jesus. What did they see? They saw the archer and an eagle. But what did they see? They saw their sinful condition. God choose the foolish things to astound the wise. Sometimes we try to explain too much. We try to save people and we can't, it has got to be supernatural. Jesus died for your sins. To believe that He can keep you. You get saved and for 2 weeks you are holy and then you full of holes after that. It is very hard to believe that He can keep you till He comes. To believe that you are still going to make it after serving Him for 26 yrs etc.

You wonder why you don't have this passion I had the 1st two weeks of trying to save the whole  world. What has happened to me? Well, you have matured.

It is what you see. It's not mind control it is what God reveals to you. What He reveals to you belongs to you.  If you can see it you can have it. He has given it to you already. That is where prophesy comes in. You got to have vision for your life, for your family and business.

Acts 1:13-14 “when they had entered they went up into the upper room where they were staying....

These all continued with one accord in prayer and in supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus.” They had one purpose of mind, great secret, unity.

We need incentives to preserve the unity in a church, in marriage, in business, in a team.

We need to make a decision that we want unity. Unity is the key to God’s power. It is seen in the book of Acts and in this day and age. We need to know how to walk in unity so that God's power can be manifest in our lives, in our families, in our homes and in our meetings.

Acts 1 reveals certain incentives to unity, and in other portions of Acts.

Acts 2:1-4 “When the day of Pentecost had fully come they were all with one accord [With one purpose of mind] in one place and  suddenly .... they were all filled and they began to speak in tongues as the spirit gave utterance.” Wonderful things take place where there is unity. He says that where brethren dwell together in unity, God commands His blessing upon people. God commands His blessing upon people in unity.

Acts  2:44  “Now all who believed were together  and had  all things in common.”

Acts 2:46   “they continued daily with one accord, in the temple, eating with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor” The Lord added daily.

Acts 5:12  “Through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done  among the people and they were with one accord in Solomon’s porch”

Acts 15:15 -17  “The believers were increasingly added both multitudes of men and women....”

One of the keys to the first church was unity.

Acts 8:6 “The multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles and unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed. Many who were paralyzed and lame were healed...”

Acts 15:26 “seemed good to us being assembled with one accord {one purpose of mind} to send men with you, our beloved Barnabas and Paul.”

Romans15:6 “ that you with one mind and one mouth glorify God

Philippians 2:2  “that you having the same love, the same mind, being of one accord.”

Throughout the New Testament.

This is a great secret that God wants to reveal to us and give us some incentives based on the scriptures to preserve the unity amongst us. To continue in one accord. There was a 120 in one accord and the world changed. They asked God to send His promise. The Word says it, we believe it and we expect it from God.

The lack of unity is a result of a lack of the revealed knowledge of the Word of God.

The Word tells us that division comes because of jealousy, envy and selfish ambition - James 3:16

Where there are always fighting it is because everyone wants their way and no one knows what the will of God is. If we know what the will of God is, it is very simple.

Paul tells the people in Corinthians 3 not to have divisions amongst themselves. Unity comes through the preaching of the Word. It says that they continued daily steadfastly in the word that the apostles taught, the doctrine of the apostles. That brought the unity. That brought God's blessing. That brought God's power. It is a blessed place to be where there is unity. They met in one place.

They prayed with one voice to God. They had one heart, one soul, one purpose, one passion.

Then Paul says to mark those who cause division. Why? Because they break that power.

Warn them. If they don't listen, have nothing to do with them. Unity allows God to perform his supernatural signs and wonders and manifest things of provision and wonderful things. A state of oneness is the key. A state of oneness, being one in spirit, one in purpose, one aim, one sentiment, one interest. The feelings are the same. Unity that is made up of diverse elements of individuals. One accord, to harmonize, all agreeing with no one dissenting, brings great victory. The spiritual realm responds to that. That the world may know that you are my disciples. Uniting demonstrates Satan's final defeat that God can have a people that are in one accord. They become an invincible army and unity will bring Christ back. A very powerful thing.

You cannot create unity, you can only preserve it. So the unity that exists in a family can be extended. Other people can be included in that, it can grow.

It doesn't mean that you all have to have the same likes or dislikes but you have the same purpose.

You have the same purpose in mind, the same sentiment about something.

In the beginning with the first church we started some people liked praising God and some people refused to. The moment we said, lets stand and praise the Lord, some people would sit down on purpose. Then that spirit of defiance influenced people around them and suddenly people didn't feel like praising God, because that spirit is so strong it influences all those around it. I observed this and I would put my best praisers in the dead spots, and it would break that defiance.

Those defiant people stop what God is doing.

One day a man tired to strangle me in church and suddenly the whole church began to pray in tongues in one accord. Suddenly people were in one accord. Five guys tired to put his hands down and he just pushed them away and suddenly the power of God hit that guy and he went flying into the 5th row of chairs. When he got up he couldn't remember anything, he was delivered. He was so happy that he hugged me and he cracked the cartilage that joins my ribs together and it was painful. After 2yrs the Lord healed me and I have no pain and I said, “Lord please do a proper job,” and He said, “no, I leave that as a sign of what you suffered for me.”

The church was all of a sudden in one accord because something desperate was happening.

It is amazing how people can suddenly come into one accord because they all have the same fear.

In sport it is so important that everyone play according to the strategy of the coach. In your family, in your business, a husband and wife, one of the great keys is to do things in unity. If there is no unity, wait. Just wait because some has the right picture and the others don't. Otherwise you need a totally new picture. It is good to discuss things instead of just blundering ahead, get someone to be in unity with you.

The bible says: “where two or three are gathered together in my name there am I in the midst of them.” Where two shall ask or three concerning anything on earth I shall do it for them and my Father who is in heaven shall do it for them. You can't just get some one quickly to agree with you. It must be someone who you are constantly walking in agreement with. You got to have someone who agrees with what you are doing, one who agrees with what you are trying to accomplish and one who agrees with how God uses you. You can pray over the phone for people as long as they are in agreement. God says that if you can agree with Him, He can do it. It’s like you connect the power source. God wants us to live there, not come in and out. Where everything is possible all of the time. But when we  look at the waves and we look at the wind we loose our confidence in Him.

We start to look at situations and we loose hope. But he says, “agree with Me.” Philemon 14 “But without your consent I will do nothing.....”. Paul was writing to Philemon regarding his slave Onesimus. Paul said that he was sending Onesimus back to Philemon and that if he owed Philemon anything, Paul would pay it. But he didn't want to compel Philemon to do it, but if he didn't give his consent Paul would not do it. God revealed to me that unless I agree with God, God can't do anything for me.You must first agree with God and agree with his word before he can do anything for you, heal you, guide you, prosper you, show you things to come, build you up, strengthen you etc.

The key to unity is the Word of God because the Holy Spirit only works in line with the Word.

So the key to unity in a church is that the people must know the Word on the same frequency.

That is what we are trying to accomplish. That is why we want every member in the church to study the Bible course, to study the Word the way we teach it because then everyone is on the same frequency. We would know the Word together and the Word creates that unity which is to the benefit of us all.

He says “where brethren dwell together in unity I command my blessing.” Who doesn't want to be blessed? Unfortunately most Christians want to get it for themselves, by themselves, on their own and then come brag about it when they testify. We should do it for the good of the cause. For the good of the community, the good of the team, so that we are all blessed by the same blessing having unity concerning the Word.

If we speak the Word you can't bring your opinion. Opinion means nothing where the Word is spoken. It is the word of a King. It is authority. When we all bow to the word he commands his blessing. The problem is that everyone  wants to do things their way according to their opinion, according to their way. The Lord says no, agree with Me, agree with My Word. So when we agree with His Word, His Spirit works, doing incredible things in our midst. It becomes effortless. Why? Because the unity was established in the church. Church is an amazing place, it is not somewhere we go to on Sunday, it is a place we have logged onto in the Spirit. That is why people who live in America are still part of the church, they not here on Sunday but their spirits are linked. We work together, finance the same things then the blessings are the over flow. He says that He will pour out on us blessings that there will be no room enough to contain it.

Who carried you till today? Who provided for you? Who sustained you? That is more blessings than what you could have provided. It’s already enough. But our human nature is never satisfied, we always want more. If you begin to count your blessings, one by one, you will be amazed to see what the Lord has done.

Unity is something you can have in yourself as well. Many times we think one thing but we say something completely different and then we do something totally opposite. That is not unity within yourself. You are not straight-lining your spirit, soul and body. Jesus always said what He meant.

That didn't mean He was rude. Jesus didn't use that as an excuse for rudeness. He used  it to speak the truth because the truth is very powerful. What he thought, He wrote and spoke and did. It is very powerful. That puts your spirit soul and body like an arrow on the right track.

God speaks to you, stop sinning. You say that you are sorry to the Lord, but you go sin again tomorrow. It meant nothing. We think we can do that to people so we do it with God too. Later the Lord puts His staff around us for our own good.

Sincerity is not something you can produce, it’s not something you can fake, it is something that is very real. To be honest with yourself and with others. Sometimes you have to be diplomatic. You don't always have to say what you think about people. You can pray about what you think to God.

Sometimes you got to give people some room to grow. Try to be sincere. Give them space.

The first time someone does something, you don't say, “I don't think you are going to make it,” but you give them room to grow. You can give them advice. You are patient. That is how God is with us, that is a good Father.

Words are powerful, A father telling his son that he will amount to nothing, those are powerful words. Every son wants to please his father, every daughter wants to please her mother. You break down the unity that could be in a family through your words. Your words should rather encourage them.

Earlier this year Hilton had scored some reasonable scores. One game he scored one run and then they got him out and I stood there thinking, man that’s tough. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said to tell him this: “that was a great one run, God is happy.” When he came to me I said, “Hilton, you know that God thinks, that was a great run man. God is happy with the one run you made.” Something changed in him and he had some nice scores for the rest of the season and he ended up being number 2 of his side. He felt good when I said to remember the one run. Mostly fathers say, “why did you play such a stupid shot?” because they want to be proud. The Holy Spirit taught me something wonderful.

A young couple got married and the husband came home the first day from work and she was crying and there’s no food and he says, “what happened?” She says, “I struggled the whole day to get the salt into the little holes. My granny told me to fill the empty salt shaker but she never showed me what he said.” What do you say in a moment like that? You should say, “man, that one piece of salt you got in there is a great piece of salt!” Just to encourage someone.

When you encourage someone, they will believe that they can do anything. That is what our heavenly Father does for us. None of us are good enough as earthly fathers. We often fail because we do and say the wrong thing. Ask them forgiveness because you know you fail. Our heavenly Father never fails, and He wants to be in unity with you. He wants you and Him to agree about things. Once you and He agree, you are majority.

David and God destroyed the Philistine army, Samson and God destroyed 3000 Philistines at a time. You and God in agreement are the majority. Agree with his Word. You need to know His Word before the power of God is released in your life, in your family or your business. It begins to make things effortless. The power of agreement, the power of unity, something that man cannot control or create. It is based on what is revealed to you through the word of God By the Spirit of God.

Unity is great key in life and great key in ministry. Be in agreement with God and in relationships.

Godliness with contentment is great gain.

Offering message

1 Tim 6:5,6 – godliness with contentment is great gain.

Gain: passing a river or a narrow part of the sea, passing through a porous substance like the pores of the skin.

In Paul's mind, the word, gain, means to pass through to another state of being, to achieve, to accomplish, to discover a new dimension. If something passes through the pores of your skin, it goes into another state of being. It also means: the ways and means into revenues, riches, and financial provisions. But there is more to it than that.

Contentment: happy and content with what one has, we brought nothing into this world and we are certainly carrying nothing out.

As a consequence, godliness with contentment correctly directs man into pursuing the spiritual and eternal rather than the material and passing things. Godliness with contentment becomes the opening through which man is blessed with great spiritual riches.

What Paul is trying to tell us is that godliness with contentment is greater gain than just money. We tend to pursue money. Money is part of life, but we shouldn't just pursue that. We shouldn't think of God as a means of getting rich. In some sermons one cannot distinguish between whether the preacher wants to know God or whether he wants more money.

3 Jn 2 - ... prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.

Prosper: to have a safe, effective journey through life. When he says this verse, he is saying: “I wish you an effective, safe, and good journey through your life. John wishes Gaius, the recipient of the letter, to have a good, blessed course in all the things in his life, and to be healthy even as his soul is thriving. It includes all the spiritual things.

To have a prosperous journey: Rom 1:10 – to have a free passage, to arrive safe.

Godliness is not a way of trying to get rich quick. It is far beyond that. The concept of prosperity and gain that Paul and John is trying to put forward to us means to have a good journey through this life, an effective life, a safe life in God, and also be healthy and also be prosperous. When we say prosperity or wealth, in the western world, all we can think of is just money. Money is such a small part of that. To have a good journey through this life with everything that you need. Isn't that more than just money? Yes, money is included in that, but God wants to give us to much more.

There are certain things that wealth cannot buy. Money can't buy peace. And how do you buy contentment? We are not born content. Have you ever seen a contented baby? They are always screaming for everything they want, and some people just never grow up. They're still screaming today for what they want. Contentment is something that you must learn. Godliness with contentment is incredible gain, incredible wealth, and it'll give you a prosperous journey through this life.

As you give unto God, God gives unto you far above what you could give to Him. No one can out give God.

Truths concerning vision.

Apostle Andre Pelser

Acts 26:14, 19

There are 2 kinds of visions from heaven: the mystical and the practical.

The one tells you what heaven looks like, which is like a travel brochure, and the other kind is a vision that shows you what to do on earth. Paul refers to a practical vision. Jesus says: “I appeared to you for this reason, to tell you what to do...”.

Acts 22:17-21

Heaven is definitely involved by using visions and dreams to tell us what to do tot spread the Gospel. The world tends to speak about spiritual things as if it's very mysterious. People quote: “God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform”. This is not Scripture. Someone wrote this quote, and people use it like it's Scripture. It's not. God does not work in mysterious ways. He tells us how He does things. He wants us to know His ways. The mystery of the Gospel has been revealed to the apostles, and they make it plain to the people. It's not a mystery, it's very natural. The more spiritual someone is, the more natural they are. You don't have to be weird or spooky to know God. God is not weird. People might call you weird because you are natural and they're not. It's natural to serve God. He made you. It's natural to speak to God – He's your friend. Isn't it natural to talk to a friend? Religion pushes God so far away, and makes everything so mysterious that they now have to play a certain role, and put on certain things, and change their voice. Some ministers scream at the people and then suddenly they whisper: “the Holy Ghost is here”, as if everyone must now hush. The Holy Spirit is a Person. He is not a dove that will fly away, or be frightened. He is not a dove. It was just a symbol. He is a Person. But, people want to talk mysteriously about Him because they think He's a ghost. You don't have to be spooky to talk about spiritual things. You are spirit, you live in a body, and you possess a soul. You are a triune person like there is a triune God. And you are made in the image of God. It doesn't mean God looks like you. It's like a lock and a key. The key fits into the lock – the key is cut in the image of the lock so that it can open. We are made in the image of God. We fit into God nicely. We are cut to fit into Him. God has a place within Himself just for you – you are cut in His image.

God wants to relate. We want to hear God speaking to us. In movies, they make the voice of God sound weird and mystical, but actually He speaks to us all the time in many different ways. He speaks to us through people, nature, preaching, prophesying, and visions. We need to realize that when God gives you a vision, it's not to make you more spooky or more mysterious, it's to tell you what to do. The appearance of Jesus didn't make Paul more mysterious, strange, or spooky. He didn't go grey over night because Jesus appeared to him. It's normal! It should be normal to relate to the One who created you, but religion makes it far removed.

The anointing is within us – wherever we live, and move, and have our being. There are times when there is excess anointing, but normally it's anointing to do something. It's not just anointed to have feelings. “I appeared to you to tell you what to do.” (Acts 26:14-19)

God is very practical. Most people that say God never speaks to them is because they don't want to do anything, but it's amazing how the same people can hear the devil talk to them. Will the devil tell you to do something good? No, that is why he is called the devil. God alone is good, and He will tell you to do good things to people. To hear God's voice is the desire to hear, so that He can tell you what to do. God will speak to you in the area of your influence; in the area of your responsibility; in the are of the talents that He given to you.

Paul was doing everything for the wrong motivation, and Jesus appeared to him, and that swung around, and started doing the same things but for the right motivation. God can change things around in your life. Paul says: “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision...”.

What is our vision? Our vision in the church is very simple: Commissioned to go, Commanded to love. It's our mission statement and our vision.

We are Commissioned to go. Where to? First of all to your neighbor, to people that you see everyday. Then to other nations, other towns. What to tell them? God sent you to tell them that God can deliver them. God can turn them from darkness to light, from the power of satan to the power of God. God can help them receive forgiveness for sins, and give them an inheritance. You can say to people: “do you know that you have a spiritual inheritance that you know nothing about? Do you know about your spiritual inheritance?”. Don't ask a sinner: “do you want to come to church?”. A sinner doesn't want to come to church. Only after you are saved do you want to come to church. You first have to get them saved, or bring them, or drag them, or compel them to come. Sinners don't just walk into church because they want to be there. They avoid it. The devils keep them from coming. First tell them what benefits there are. Like having a spiritual inheritance among those who are being sanctified by faith. Not through laws and rituals, and not through works. How are we sanctified? By faith in Christ Jesus Who is our Sanctification, our Righteousness, our Redemption. He is Everything to us. If He grows in stature in us, our sanctification increases. It's not an effort, it is Christ increasing. It is growing in His grace.

We are sanctified by faith in Him. Everybody can believe, it puts us all on the same scale. You can believe, you can use your faith to receive from God whatever He promised in His Word. You are sanctified by faith in Him. If you are sanctified by your works, it means that some weeks you'll feel fine, but some days you won't. Your faith can be permanent sanctification, permanent right standing with God. That's why He included verses like “... if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous... (1 Jn 2:1,2); If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 Jn 1:9)”. Why does He include them? Because it happens. But if you want to hook your sanctification on your performance, then you'll like a see-saw life – one day up, and one day down.

We are talking about a vision that God has given this body, a heavenly vision, and Paul says that he was not disobedient to this vision. “I did what He showed me to do.” We can translate that on a personal level too.

What is there that God showed you to do in this life?

What must we do with the vision that God gives us?

Hab 2:2,3

You must write your vision down. People without vision perish. It's scriptural to write it down. It's what you see. If you make the vision plain, somebody can run with it. If you don't have a vision for you life, people walk right past you because you are going nowhere. You might as well grow roots and just exist, like a vegetable. If you have vision, and you write it down, what you are thinking and what you are hoping and wishing for and believing God for, in anything, somehow your subconscious take that. When you write something, you are more honest than when you just speak. Many times when you talk, you babble, but if you have to go and sit and write, you won't write that, because you weren't honest. Writing brings you to the level that your faith is at. That's why Habakkuk says: “write the vision...”. Not just talk about it, or dream about it. Write it down.

What do you see? So that those who read it can run with it. People want to help someone that has vision. It's natural. If you're clear about it, it's like God starts working on your behalf. But if  you have no vision, you just wait for something to happen and nothing happens. You go round in circles. What do you want to do with your life? What is inside of you? Get it out on paper! Talk to God about it.

But, also be involved with the vision of the body of which you are part, first. The prophet said: “first bake me a cake, first bring me some water, then for you and your son...” (1 Kings 17:9-16). You need to be first part of the local vision. How many people have you brought to church? Yo have to bring people to Christ. How are you functioning as part of the vision? Or do you just make it to church and then go home? Do something in the vision or contribute towards something.

Harvester's heavenly vision is to reach nations for God, and to love the ones that God adds here. Bring the kids that sleep over at your children to church. Bring people to church. You might be mocked about it, but God's going to honor you at the right time.

What vision do you have for you own life?

How many years do you have left on this planet? If you still have 30 or 40 years, it's only so many days, so many hours. What do you want to do with that? Have you written it down? The Bible says to write it down. What's the vision you have for you wife, husband, son, or daughter, for your family, for you business? What vision do you have for your household group if you're a household leader? What vision do you have? Or do you just go from wednesday night to wednesday night? Do you believe you can reach the area and expand? If it doesn't have vision, it eventually closes down. We need vision. We need to see something before it happens. You need a heavenly vision. Paul thought he was doing ok, dragging christians out of their homes, having them stoned and killed, and imprisoned. Then God gave him a heavenly vision, to reach nations, to teach them sanctification by faith, to teach them deliverance, and he said: “I have not been disobedient to the heavenly vision”. That is something we need to be able to say. “Lord, Harvester Church has not been disobedient to the heavenly vision You've given us.” God has given you talents, tools, and abilities so that you can fulfill that vision in your heart.

The vision of your heart determines the direction of your life. Heaven is looking for men, women, and children that will become carriers of this vision, willing to suffer for it, willing to give up for it, willing to be rejected, willing to face death if they have to, but to spread this message of Good Hope that God has given us.

Vision gives you purpose. If you don't have a vision, life's not worth living really. You need vision. If you write it down, and you make it plain, it starts happening. Someone can connect you with someone else that can help make it happen, because you made the vision plain so those who read it can run with it.

Realize there are some challenging choices we have to make concerning vision. Realize that it's your choice to have a vision or not to have one. No one can force you. Even in little things you do, you need to aim at something. You need to want to do something. If you want to do something, you might as well want to do it well, and be trained to do so that you can do it well and enjoy it. You don't enjoy something that you don't do well. In order to do well, you need someone to show you how to do it – it's called coaching.

You can withdraw from being involved in a vision, and think that you are playing it safe, but actually you are spoiling all your chances for adventure and excitement. If you are willing to risk your life, or lose your life, you find it. If you always want to preserve your life, you lose it eventually, and you lose interest in life.

You can be bold and step into a dimension of living that's the playground of men and women like Daniel, Deborah, and the other fantastic Bible characters. You get onto their playing fields by being honest with the vision in your heart. You have spiritual DNA in your genes, something of Daniel, something of Deborah, something of Joseph is inside of you. Joseph had a dream about his life, and it caused him a lot of persecution, but in the end that vision was fulfilled, and he became what he saw. It was a heavenly vision, and he stayed faithful to that.

You can live just for yourself, or live to leave a spiritual inheritance for others. Through commitment to vision, you can choose to live a focussed life. If you don't have vision set, you are not focussed. You're just looking everywhere like window shopping. If you are focussed, anything else that comes you consider as a side track to what you are aiming at. The human will locked into God's will gives full expression of divine purpose. You must will, you must want to do it. You decide, and having made the decision to do it you can't blame anyone for you decision. Most people wait for someone to push them into something, nobody's going to do that either.

What's you vision for your family?

How much do you want to earn? That's also a vision, instead of complaining how much you are earning. What is it you want to earn. Write it down.

Make your vision plain. Write it, and then believe God. This is how God wants us to live, because we have faith. We are people of faith. We can't just live by what we see. We have to live by what we believe, that makes you a believer. And if you don't, you spiritual side is frustrated because you only live by sight. You've got to live by what you believe. Listen, all things are possible to them that believe. If you are willing to give up everything for God, He gives it back to you in ways that you couldn't believe.

God told Abraham that he would have a son. Sarah thought it impossible because of their age. So, they have a son by miraculous birth, and God told Abraham to give him back to Him. Abraham agrees willingly. This made Abraham God's friend, because he proved to the world that someone was willing to sacrifice their only begotten son. Now the Gospel could come in through Abraham, because he believed that God would raise Isaac from the dead. This was accounted to him for righteousness forever. This is big stuff.

And through one man's obedience, all of us sit here today. Through one man's willingness to sacrifice. God just wants to see if you are willing to sacrifice. That's all. Once you say: “yes”, He gives it back to you in ways you couldn't have dreamt possible. More than you can contain. Nothing is impossible to those who believe.

Choose today, to grab hold of your vision, and to finish it. See beyond the stumbling blocks you have at the moment. Look beyond your limitations. Look beyond today. Start believing that you can be what you wish to be, what God's put inside of you. Confront the apparent impossibility of the task that lies ahead, because you know that God can give you the breakthrough. God can do anything. Our God is able to do everything. That is the God we serve. We are people of vision. God gives us heavenly vision, so that our vision and God's vision can dovetail. God put things in your heart, but He's got something for you, that those two can dovetail. Everything is possible. If you help God with His dream, He makes your dreams a reality.
